Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2, which serves domestic passengers, plans to issue bids for a luxury brands project in mid-December. Offers are due by the end of January 2023.
The main cities served by T2 flights include Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Tianjin and more than 50 other key domestic destinations.
In pre-pandemic 2019, the terminal served some 37.41 million passengers. Although T2 was heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, passenger flow began to gradually increase from June.
The flights on the south side of the terminal are mainly operated by China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines, while those on the north side are served by Air China, China Southern Airlines and regional airlines.
According to an internal survey conducted last year, Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2 enjoys an excellent passenger flow structure, notable for strong consumer purchasing power.
