What’s Your Response When Someone Tells You Your Not Very Fashion Conscious?

What’s Your Response When Someone Tells You Your Not Very Fashion Conscious?

Fashion, what’s your thoughts? In season, last season, colour coordinated or do you even care?

Well, here is my take on fashion, for one I am so LAST SEASON and I will tell you why.

I go into the shops and see something I really like then I look at the price, now I’m not a cheap skate here far from it but when I see something that I think is rather overpriced that’s it, I ain’t buying it.

Nope, instead I’ll be like ok I will keep an eye on it and when it goes on sale I will grab it, although if I feel this is an item that will fly off the shelf and I really do love it then I will make an exception.

Here’s the thing though, I may wear it once then it goes in the wardrobe or packed away until the weather permits me to wear it again, I have on occasion been very guilty of not wearing it at all and the label still be attached.

What do I do with it? I give it to charity along with countless other items even household goods. I can’t be the only person here that does this.

The way I see it why throw it out when someone who may have nothing can get some use from it.

While I’m on the subject, something I noticed about retailers many years ago and I’m not sure if this still happens? When they put end of season cloths in the sale and those that don’t sell are all either gathered together for another store or put in a skip.

Now I know for a fact that they do or did this because I worked in retail, my thing is why not box everything up e,g men and woman’s cloths children’s cloths even household goods and put them in lorries/wagons and take them all to those in countries that are less fortunate than we are?

The homeless here in the U.K? Even people from war-torn countries who have had their homes bombed and are left with nothing.

Maybe it’s just me and yes I know those who know me are like; ‘Come on B, you want to put the world to rights but it’s not that easy’ Well actually it really is that easy but I’m not going to start ranting on about that because that is another story.

I am however and always have been colour coordinated the colour of my top must match my shoes and my handbag, even my eye makeup has a style all of its own.

I do have scruffy day’s like most people but only if I know I don’t have to leave the house and more often than not you’ll find me in my jeans.

Send me in some of your best shots in fashion I will feature them in an issue of PERUSE.

Now there is an offer you can’t refuse. (See Disclaimer)

Fashion, Shoes

FashionMy Young At Heart Peep Toes by Joe Brown

Before leaving for California I needed to buy a pair of shoes that would go with my top, Purchased from Primark.

I was so happy to have found these very comfortable ‘Young At Heart Peep Toes’ by Joe Brown from http://www.lookagain.co.uk and at a very good price too.

This photo was taken down at the Oceanside Harbour in San Diego on my way to lunch at The Broiler. Which is my favourite place to eat at the harbour.

I started with a Pina Colada or two 😉 Followed by Chicken Sliders and side Salad, Garlic dressed Fries finished off with Creme Brûlée and boy was it good.

Ten out of ten for food, comfort and service, so highly recommend.

I’m feeling quite excited about the Gemma Collins Range, the fact that I’m a curvy woman makes it all the more exciting.

I love the fact that Gemma model’s her cloths, and she definitely has a good head when it comes to business.

The PRICES, Wow I hadn’t realised how good they were until I viewed the website.

I’m thinking a little visit to Brentwood is on the cards, so watch out Gemma I’m planning a trip down very soon.

Gemma is most definitely an inspiration to plus size woman and good on her, she knows exactly what they are looking for, and coordinates everything so well.

She has an eye for fashion and how it should look that’s for sure. I’ve read some pretty unflattering comments about Gemma and her range.

I have to say, ‘What’s going on?’ Why are people being so nasty. I take my hat off to her and anyone who has the sense to turn an idea into a business and a very good one at that.

Not only are there many people out there who are not as fortunate as some to be able to afford beautiful, stylish cloths, there are many woman who have that fuller figure and would be very grateful and happy to wear the Gemma Collins Collection.

The fact that she model’s them herself too is an added bonus because woman are seeing just how to coordinate the cloths.

So I say well done Gemma, and all you ladies out there fire away click the link below to visit the website you will be very pleasantly surprised.

It’s How You Display It

TS (1)

I was at my local shopping centre yesterday and spotted this display in our outlet, for me it’s all about the display, if it’s all a mishmash I won’t even bother to go looking in the store. This caught my eye straight away so I just had to go in and take a look. I have seen more elegant displays but this was not bad.

I have to say though my favourite displays at this time of year are the wedding one’s being that I arrange flowers for people at anytime of year, a lot of my idea’s come from displays and magazines although I do add my own special touch and I always try to do it with a certain twist to make it different and make it my own creation.

If you have a good eye for detail then arranging a display for whatever the occasion should be a piece of cake, but it’s not just a good eye you need. You have to be on the ball when it comes to this sort of thing you need to have imagination and almost all you need to think outside the box, if you want people to take an interest think about what people are looking for, why they would want it and what you can do to ensure they will see it not just at the corner of their eye but full on.

Think about the colours, it’s usually the first thing people see before stopping to take in the accessories and then think about how and where this would look good in their own home, or if its fashion they start to imagine themselves wearing it and then they think of upcoming events.

The way you display it and how also has the individual realising they can wear this more than once, but you need to make sure you introduce different accessories to show it can be worn at other times. In the case of home displays yes mix and match but make sure that not only the colours but the items compliment each other and think of the rooms that will house it.

Your display has an impact not only on the people buying it but on the store too so make it the best of the best.
