SRA Tipperary

St Anne’s Sean Ross Abbey Corville, Co. Tipperary, Ireland

Sean Ross Abbey the former Mother and Baby Home, one of the largest of these institutions in the State.

The home was run by the nuns from the ‘Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary’ from 1930 until 1970.

Thousands of unmarried pregnant women (Known as Fallen Woman & Sinners) passed through those doors, official figures show that 5,252 babies were born there.

In 2011, the order of nuns handed over all their records to the ‘Health Service Executive’ and subsequently ‘Tusla’. In these records only one death register exists, and shows the names of 269 babies who died there.

My book ‘Behind Closed Doors’ is available on Amazon both on Kindle and Print format, a percentage of the books sales will be donated to the committee of SRA to help with their administration costs while they fight for justice.

By purchasing a copy of the book you are contributing to the cause and for that we are extremely thankful.

Stay up to date with the progress of the survivors over on my sister site: belindaconnissofficial.org and feel free to get in touch if you would like to get in touch with the committee.
