Sad, Lonely & A Long Way From Home

Extract From Chapter 16

The Journey Back to Scotland

Even when we left the village, I thought he might come after me, I kept watching the mirror for the car, but nothing. The weird thing is on that drive back to Scotland a song came on the radio, Tom Jones ‘The Green, Green Grass’. Yep, I broke down and cried my eyes out. It was the very same song from the day I first arrived in Wales. Poor Steve just didn’t know what to say.
That journey back to Scotland took a long, long time, which wasn’t such a good thing because I had too much time to think. Everything I had gone through; with Michael, then moving to Wales, now back to my parents’ home where I had grown up.
