So I’m back from my trip to Sunny California and what an amazing time I had, I can’t say that this trip was better than the rest because every trip & every time I step off the plane and see that welcome sign I feel like I’m home.
Every girls dream stepping off the plane to the Californian Sun, beautiful beaches and yes even the people.
My trip this time took me to San Francisco a couple of nights at the Holiday Inn at Van Ness Ave. I have to admit although I looked them up online I kind of thought it looked a little like Travelodge back in the UK. (I do enjoy my stay’s at the Travelodge too)
What a surprise I couldn’t have been more pleased, what a beautiful Hotel.
The Food was great, very friendly staff and exceptionally clean rooms, it really was worth every penny. The view was amazing too.
Nobody should stay in San Francisco without a visit to Alcatraz I highly recommend it, reading about it online and seeing online photos is definitely not the same as experiencing it. I took the Audio tour which really helped.
Then it was back to San Diego a place close to my heart, with its clean streets and buildings very friendly people and amazing food.
Halloween was great as per certainly the best place to spend Halloween which is celebrated widely in the US.
I spent some time back in Hollywood and LA with a visit to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. “The Tropicana bar/pool is a favourite” very exciting, old Hollywood glam, yet still inviting.
Lunch in the garden by the Poolside was lovely, good service too. I had the Toasted Bagels with Clotted Cream and Butter and boy were they good. I have a little secret though, Iv never liked the American Tea so yes, I had my own Tetley Tea Bags. (hush!) 😉
Next up while there I took the Hollywood Tour Bus which was great, I sure welcomed the breeze from the top deck with it being so hot. I even bought the Map of the Celebrity Homes. (Im like a star struck child) I love it though.
Saving the best for last, my visit to SUR in Beverly Hills, what a wonderful night. The staff were on the ball, food was absolutely amazing I savoured every mouthful. Highly recommended, Cocktails were very good too.
I loved the decor and the evening lighting very smooth and comfortable and to finish the evening a member of the staff brought my desert and sang Happy Birthday to me, for which I am extremely grateful.
There was so much more in between and I’m looking forward to visiting again, but first I have to get my book published and out there which all being well will be around mid to late January and its about time, took me twenty years to write.
So do I recommend everything above “ABSOLUTELY” & I shopped until I dropped!
