Representatives from Taiwan joined officials from Japan at a promotional travel event in Tokyo on last Thursday.
Officials from Taiwan's tourism industry have come to Japan to drum up business from prospective travelers. They're reassuring people that life is back to normal outside the area hit by a powerful earthquake half a month ago.
Taiwanese authorities say they had just over 920,000 visitors from Japan last year. That's less than half the number that made the trip in 2019, before the coronavirus pandemic.
